Even if only one data source node is selected in the node tree, the parameters filter shows the parameter for all data source nodes.
Parameters filter shows all parameter in all nodes

Mike, are you referring to the Parameter Filters dropdown list or the Content Views (Map, List, Chart, Events, Dash)?
The Parameter Filters dropdown list always shows ALL available parameters (by design) regardless of the node selection in the workspaces tree. Only the content view will change based on workspace tree node selection (combined with active parameter filters).
We'll consider changing this functionality to be context-based. ie. Updating the available parameter filters dropdown list based on node tree selection.
That's correct, I'm referring to the Parameter Filters dropdown list. In my mind, the system was designed such that the workspace tree is the first-level filter and then the Alarms filter button and Parameter Filters dropdown are the second-level filters. Therefore, I'm surprised the Parameter Filters dropdown shows all available parameters by design. I really like the search feature in the PF dropdown, but it doesn't really work the way I would expect because the search results aren't limited to the selected workspace node.
Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your intended workflow and I need to adjust my thinking?
Thanks for the feedback Mike!
I'm leaving this open at the moment but moving to 'feature requests' as its not actually a bug.
Re: workflow, we wanted users to be able to go in both directions...ie. select a node in the workspaces tree then apply filters....but also be able to leave the filters set and go back continue to change the selection in the workspaces tree (keeping the selected filters active regardless of whether they correspond to any parameters under the current selection).
We could potentially reduce the PF dropdown list to only show parameters under the current selection in workspaces tree PLUS any that have already been applied (so that they can be de-selected if required)...Have added a note to our 'improvements dev list'.
