To view or change the currently configured files/series, open the Properties dialog for the corresponding Data Source. This can be done by right-clicking (or via the drop-down) on the Data Source in the Workspaces menu or from the list/map view context menus. Navigate to the Series tab as shown below.
Select Modify file match to upload a new sample file and change the file name matching rule for uploaded files. (ie. specify .csv to match all files with a csv extension).
If the file structure has changed (ie. new columns or formatting) you can Configure series to redefine the parsing rules. The available series in the dialog will be updated accordingly and you can map the new series to existing or new parameters (ensure you tick the series you would like to create/keep as active parameters).
Note: If you are uploading multiple files for the same Data Source/Location that contain data for different parameters then you should use the Add files button to define additional file formats/parameters and ensure the file name match is unique to that file structure. ie. waterquality.dat and rainfall.dat (regular expression syntax can be used if required)
The Upload data to ftp.eagle.io Data Source transport uses the auto-generated user account to identify a specific Data Source as the target. The general use case being that every device sending data can have a uniquely assigned user account and the time series data is sent to the corresponding Data Source.
Alternative options include FTP Client or Dropbox Transports which can share the same credentials between Sources.
Please let us know your specific use case and we'll find an appropriate solution.
