I have a Hughes satellite modem that relays data from a system of 6 Campbell loggers, i.e. 6 data sources. The modem is set to turn on every three hours (t = 0:00, 3:00, 6:00, etc..) for twenty minutes. The data source configuration for all devices is:
Collection Interval = 3 hours
Interval Offset = 5 minutes
Retry Attempts = 5
Retry Delay = 1 minute
- Does the collection period for EagleIO scheduled collection begin at 00:00 hours regardless of selected collection interval? (E.g., if Collection Interval = 12 hours, will that be 00:00 and 12:00, and Collection Interval = 3 hours will be 0, 3, 6, 9 etc)
- Are there plans in the future to move towards user-entered collection intervals, offsets, and retry delays, instead of the preset drop-down box selections? Perhaps this should go in the "feature requests" forum...)
- In order to maintain this schedule through DST and so the datalogger/EagleIO doesn't get off by an hour (and then, starts missing collection intervals), what features do I need to select in Eagle IO to make sure DST stays updated in the logger? This is a tricky one, because my CR300 program that controls the modem on/off times will turn off the modem when the clock is changed to outside of the 0, 3, 6, 9 hours, then connection is lost. Perhaps I should add a bit of code that forces the modem to stay on from midnight to 6 am on DST dates?
